IHM Annual Dinner 2024: Celebrating Excellence, Unity, and Appreciation

On September 21, 2024, IHM hosted its much-awaited Annual Dinner at the prestigious Dewan Konvensyen Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Pekan. The event was organized as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for IHM’s employees and their families, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and contribution to the company’s success. Beyond expressing gratitude, the Annual Dinner also served as a platform to strengthen the bonds of friendship and, creating an evening filled with celebration, camaraderie, and delicious food.

The event drew a large crowd of enthusiastic attendees, all eager to participate in the evening’s activities. Durian Fest 2024: : A Taste of Togetherness and Local Flavor

On July 19th, 2024, IHM employees gathered in Cafeteria, IHM for the much-anticipated Durian Fest, a celebration of the abundance of seasonal fruits. The objective of the festival was to encourage employees to enjoy the seasonal durian while providing a refreshing break from the daily work routine and promoting local agriculture.

The event kicked off an hour before the end of the working day, allowing employees to indulge in fresh, local durian. The festival provided a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, where everyone was free to enjoy the delicious seasonal fruit while fostering a sense of camaraderie within the company.

Vendor Convention 2024: Collaboration, Recognition, and Future Outlook

On July 5th, 2024, IHM successfully hosted its annual Vendor Convention at The Zenith Hotel, Kuantan, Pahang. The event brought together approximately 200 attendees from 52 vendors and suppliers, all of whom play a crucial role in supporting IHM’s business operations.

During the convention, key topics such as the Procurement Policy, Market Outlook, and Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery(SQCD) Performance were shared with the vendors and suppliers. These presentations aimed to provide valuable insights into IHM’s future direction, performance expectations, and market trends, ensuring continued alignment and collaboration with its valued partners.

In the evening, the event concluded with an appreciation dinner, held to honor the contributions and ongoing support of the vendors and suppliers. The dinner provided a relaxed atmosphere for networking and celebrating the mutual successes achieved throughout the year.

As a highlight of the evening, the IHM Vendor Performance Awards were presented, recognizing outstanding performance across several key categories. The awards were given for:

Asean Kaizen Activity 2024

On June 24th and 25th, 2024, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia (IHM) had the honor of hosting the ASEAN KAIZEN Activity 2024, bringing together industry leaders to collaborate on process improvement and operational excellence. Participants included representatives from ISUZU Astra Motor Indonesia(IAMI), ISUZU Vietnam Co.(IVC), ISUZU Philippines Corporation(IPC), ISUZU Global CV Engineering(IGCE), and IHM itself. The central focus of the event was sharing KAIZEN studies to address challenges from a common perspective, with the aim of improving KAIZEN skills and fostering stronger, more effective production leaders.

Throughout the two-day event, participants clarified each company’s position and vision within the ISUZU group, engaging in purposeful activities designed to build robust processes. A key goal of the gathering was to encourage the development of experienced and knowledgeable leaders through regular KAIZEN activities, empowering them to lead their respective production sites with skill and confidence.

The event began with an opening speech by Mr. Kazutaka Watanabe (COO of IHM), who expressed his gratitude to the participants for their involvement and highlighted the importance of collaboration and continuous learning. He emphasized IHM’s commitment to quality improvement through KAIZEN practices, aiming to enhance both quality and safety. Mr. Watanabe expressed his hope for a shared journey of improvement and “awareness” with the participants, concluding by acknowledging their valuable insights, which would guide future enhancements at IHM.

The event concluded with a closing speech by Mr. Keizo Yoshimura, Chief Executive Officer of IHM. He praised the two-day ASEAN KAIZEN Activity for fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and leadership growth among ISUZU group companies. He highlighted the event’s role in advancing shared goals and establishing a foundation for sustainability across the ISUZU ASEAN region, emphasizing that this spirit of cooperation and continuous improvement through KAIZEN initiatives will drive future success and sustainable growth.

IHM Flag-off Event: Unveiling ISUZU’s Latest Truck Models & CSR Journey Across Malaysia

The flag-off event was held on March 11, 2024, at IHM. The event was attended by IHM and IMSB employees, as well as members of the media. The objectives of the event were to publicize the latest Isuzu truck models and to launch a CSR program, whereby the Isuzu truck will travel across Malaysia to conduct CSR activities

Ramadan Bubur Lambuk Distribution: Nourishing Unity and Community Spirit

In the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan, IHM management has collaborated with the IHM Sports and Welfare Club and the Surau Al-Kausar Committee to coordinate the preparation and distribution of bubur lambuk. IHM employees collectively cooked around 1000 servings of bubur lambuk, which were thoughtfully distributed to all IHM staff, including contract workers and nearby committees.

IHM Zakat Distribution Ceremony: Supporting Needy Individuals and Ramadan Preparation

On February 29th, the Zakat Distribution Ceremony took place at IHM’s cafeteria. As part of the program, zakat was distributed to needy individuals (asnaf) within IHMSB. Additionally, Mydin vouchers and dates were distributed to all employees in preparation for Ramadan. IHM management, authorized by the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP), allocated a portion of the company’s zakat payment to IHMSB employees and contracted staff who are Muslims. Seven categories of zakat recipients were identified for the distribution of funds.
