On 12 March 2025, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia (IHM) held a highly significant Iftar Perdana event at the IHM Cafeteria, which brought its staff together with orphans, asnaf and Tahfiz students in the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan.

The event organized in collaboration with the Al-Kausar Surau Committee and the Isuzu Sports & Welfare Club (KSKI), reflected the true essence of Ramadan—sharing, caring, and inclusivity. The evening began with a spiritual talk by our guest speaker on the reflection about fasting in the month of Ramadan.

To mark the occasion, IHM was honored by the presence of a representative from the Pahang State Zakat Collection Centre. In a special moment before the iftar, IHM’s Vice Chief Executive Officer, En Ahmad Mohd Yunus, made zakat contributions to eligible guests, accompanied by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Keizo Yoshimura, reaffirming IHM’s commitment to supporting those in need.

CSR Activity (Mar 2025) Distribute Iftar Meals at Hosp Pekan

On 21 March 2025, Isuzu HICOM Malaysia (IHM) continued its commitment to community outreach by extending support to the local healthcare community during the holy month of Ramadan. As part of this special programme, IHM distributed iftar meals to 200 recipients, including patients, their families, and dedicated medical staff at Hospital Pekan.

This effort was led by IHM’s top management team, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Keizo Yoshimura, Vice Chief Executive Officer En. Ahmad Mohd Yunus as well as our Chief Operating Officer Mr. Kazutaka Watanabe, who personally distributed packed meals to patients and their caretakers as a warm gesture in conjunction with the fasting month.

This programme is a reflection of IHM commitment to social responsibility, compassion and abundant spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan.

Spreading Kindness in Ramadan: IHM Reaches Out to Families in Need

From 21 to 26 February 2025, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (IHM) continued its commitment to community outreach through a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged families in Pekan during the holy month of Ramadan.

As part of this effort, 50 selected families were provided with food baskets containing essential groceries, alongside financial assistance of RM150 per household. To further assist the community, IHM distributed bags of rice to 150 families from the Program Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin (PPRT) housing area to assist in their Hari Raya preparations.

This outreach reflects IHM’s enduring dedication to social responsibility, compassion, and the joy of giving during the holy month of Ramadan.

IHM ‘Back to School’ Program

CSR Activity (Feb 2025) IHM Back to School Program

On 13 February 2025, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (IHM) successfully organized a ‘Back to School’ Program at Ancasa Royale Hotel, Pekan, in support of underprivileged primary school students.

A total of 30 students from three local schools namely SK Serandu, SK Pahang Tua, and SK Langgar, received essential school supplies, including uniforms, shoes, school bags, and stationery.

Following the ceremony, the students were brought to Hari-Hari clothing store to choose and try on their new school uniforms, accompanied by their teachers and IHM’s top management. The children were excited and happy, enjoying the opportunity of wearing new school clothes for the upcoming academic year.

This thoughtful contribution aims to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that the students are well-prepared to begin their school year with confidence.

Empowering the Next Generation: IHM’s Wakalah Zakat Ceremony for Higher Education

On 14 October 2024, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia (IHM) held a heartfelt ceremony at the Theater Hall to distribute wakalah zakat contributions, supporting the children of IHM employees who are pursuing their journey into higher education after completing their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams. This gesture is part of IHM’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community support. A total of 53 students benefited from this initiative, with each receiving a contribution of RM500, which was handed over to their parents as representatives.

The ceremony, held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., was conducted with notable participation from IHM’s leadership team. The distribution of contributions was given by En Ahmad, Vice Chief Executive Officer, accompanied by En Suhaimi, General Manager of Production. Their presence, along with witnesses Dato’ Hajah Rosmah, Deputy General Manager of HRA, and En Nazman and En Nizam, underscored the importance of this initiative in recognizing the aspirations and academic ambitions of employees’ children.

Through this CSR activity, IHM demonstrated its dedication not only to the success of its employees but also to its broader social responsibility mission. Ramadan Community Welfare Initiative: IHM’s Sponsorship for Bubur Lambuk Preparation

On 21 March 2024, IHM demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by providing financial sponsorship to Universiti Malaysia Pahang Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) for the preparation of bubur lambuk. This charitable initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque, where the bubur lambuk was prepared and distributed.

The sponsorship from IHM enabled UMPSA and the mosque to prepare a substantial quantity of bubur lambuk, a traditional porridge dish enjoyed during Ramadan. This effort not only honored cultural traditions but also served as a symbol of unity and generosity within the community.

In addition to financial support, IHM actively participated in the distribution process, ensuring that bubur lambuk reached local residents. This outreach was part of IHM’s broader mission to contribute positively to community welfare, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan.
