The 8th ASEAN Kaizen Meeting was successfully held on 28 & 29 August 2025 at Isuzu Hicom Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (IHM).

Participants from Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), and Isuzu Vietnam Co Ltd (IVC), and Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI), in attendance of Isuzu Global CV Engineering Center Co. Ltd (IGCE) and Isuzu Motors Limited (IML) gathered to share best practices and improvement initiatives within the Isuzu Group, strengthening our collective culture of continuous improvement across the ASEAN region.

IHM CEO, Mr. Koshi Yamaguchi, as the host of this year’s meeting, delivered an inspiring message:

“The essence of Kaizen lies in SQDC—Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. By prioritizing employee safety and responding proactively to customer needs, we are able to expand our market share while continuously improving production. We hope that these Kaizen activities will continue to thrive, and that Isuzu Group companies across ASEAN will grow together through mutual learning and collaboration. Let us continue to challenge ourselves and grow together as one Isuzu family.”

Meanwhile, IHM General Manager of Production & Planning, En. Suhaimi, also shared his insights:

“This meeting is not only about sharing but also listening and learning. Having participants visit our plant gave us valuable insights on how to further improve our operations and ultimately grow together as one Isuzu family. The key to sustaining Kaizen is being able to clearly explain different initiatives to others. At IHM, Kaizen has transformed our culture—everyone now sees it as part of their daily work. What Kaizen means to me: it’s continuous improvement that never ends.”

The two-day event also included a plant tour of IHM operations, providing participants with the opportunity to see, share, and experience the actual processes behind our continuous improvement efforts.

Participants explored plant tour of IHM operations while learning about the Kaizen activities carried out by IHM teams.
